Frisbie is a rad music production boutique housed in a spacious loft, recording studio and storefront in TriBeca. Owned by Mary Frisbie Wood (that's her real name), Frisbie represents and works with a select group of composers, artists, bands and DJ's on albums, original songs and scores, remixes and licensing for all music media. We are a certified Minority-Owned business, and we throw down the sweetest parties.
Frisbie has written music for most major brands in America for National TV advertising (from Apple to Ziploc) on everything from iAds, apps and games to Superbowl spots every year since the doors opened in 2004. (And, we have awesome merch in our store.)
We have done scores and soundtracks for major motion pictures and TV shows (Get Him To The Greek, Walk Hard, Eastbound and Down, True Blood, Team Umizoomi and more.) The celebrity talent we've worked with include: Nelly, Jay-Z, Spice Girls, Fountains of Wayne, Blackalicious, Dangermouse, Aretha Franklin, Britney Spears, Jordan Sparks, Jessica Simpson, and more...(And we have the best snacks south of 14th street.)
Consistently, we have brought talent that goes from unknown to the top of the charts: Brody Brown (Bruno Mars), Mike Elizondo (Eminem, Regina Spector etc.) Kevin Barnes (Of Montreal), Inara George (Bird And The Bee), Freelance Whales, Holly Brook -now Skylar Grey (Eminem, Jay-Z) Jesse Harris (Grammy for Norah Jones) Larry Campbell (Grammy winner, Bob Dylan, Levon Helm), and the hits keep coming!
